We have an exciting opportunity for someone with strong technical ability to provide technical support to our sawmilling operations and sales teams based out of and supporting our Caboolture, QLD Operation.
The successful candidates must have a strong commitment to safety, work closely with a variety of stakeholders and a focus and passion for continuous improvement. The position provides great growth and development opportunities with experienced mentors and industry leaders supporting the role.
Key duties & responsibilities:
- Align specific site requirements with a national quality framework and compliance.
- Build on systems to develop an industry-leading Product Quality system.
- Undertake leadership in AKD projects and trials
- Work with operations to enhance Dry and Green Mill recoveries.
- Advocate and actively be involved in industry concerning research and regulation that may affect AKD
- Be able to analyse and understand data
Experience & Requirements:
- Experience in timber manufacturing and quality
- Identification, investigation and prioritising critical product performance issues
- The ability to monitor and supervise processes for product certification
- Development and delivery of technical training to non-technical people
- Passion for continuous improvement
- Work in a team environment as well as self-driven
